The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
