The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
