At clinics that treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, treatment therapies are generally limited beyond this and the main treatment objective is to manage the physical symptoms of their dependence. Some centers do provide a small amount of counseling and group therapy as auxiliary treatment, and it is encouraged.
