Halfway House - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Axis, AL.

When someone has rehabilitated from a substance abuse problem, it isn't as easy as resuming where you left off. Returning to a successful and happy life takes time and a lot of effort. A Halfway House, also called a Sober Living Facility, is a place where recovering individuals can live in a clean and healthy environment until they can live stably on their own. Living in a Halfway House may be a requirement of a person's parole for example, or someone might decide to live in a Halfway House of their own will after drug or alcohol rehab. In either case, tenants of a Halfway House are sober and striving to do what they need to do to get their lives back on track. This could mean finishing school, getting employment, etc.

Halfway Houses in Axis are managed by people who in many instances were once occupants of the house. How long a person is permitted to live at the Halfway House can vary, but it's typically anywhere from a month to a couple of years. Tenants are required to undergo drug and alcohol testing before being accepted into the house, and this testing will continue intermittently to make sure there isn't any drug or alcohol use in the house or addiction issues that would be more adequately handled in a drug or alcohol treatment facility.
