Substance abuse programs for Military Vets are central for the mental well-being and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the military. Because drug and alcohol abuse and other mental health disorders are found at above average rates among Vets, it is important that they get the help they need due to such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.
Substance abuse facilities for Vets in Cale are available through the VA, with included services such as efforts to address associated problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, disturbed sleep, irritability, and/or relationship problems which most commonly trigger substance abuse disorders among Vets. Rehab for substance abuse and related disorders among Veterans includes individual and group therapy and psychotherapies that can increase a person's motivation to change. Involvement in outside support such as AA and other support groups is recommended. Medications are also used in some instances to help Military Vets decrease their drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
