The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
