Substance abuse facilities for Veterans are essential for the mental health and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the military. Because alcohol and drug abuse and other mental health disorders are experienced at higher than average rates among Veterans, it is crucial that they get the essential help they need due to such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.
Drug and alcohol abuse programs for Veterans in Fort Smith are available through the VA, with included services such as efforts to address associated disorders such as relationship problems, irritability, disturbed sleep, pain, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which most commonly trigger substance abuse disorders among Veterans.
