Substance abuse programs for Vets are central for the mental well-being and overall stability of Veterans of all branches of the military. Because drug and alcohol abuse and other mental health problems are experienced at higher than average rates among Vets, it is important that Veterans get the assistance they need because of such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders with our Vets.

Rehab for addiction and associated disorders among Military Veterans includes individual and group therapy and psychotherapies that can increase a person's motivation to change. Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications can also be used in some instances to help Military Vets decrease their drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
