The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent people.
