The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
