The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications given are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
