The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
