The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent individuals.
