The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Medications administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
