Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities - Bridgeport, CT.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol rehabilitation in Bridgeport, Medicare may pay for certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want supplemental coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
