The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
