Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Facilities - East Berlin, CT.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in East Berlin, this program can cover various treatment programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want supplemental health insurance apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
