The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
