Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Facilities - New Haven, CT.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can select a primary care physician and obtain referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can acquire substance abuse treatment services in New Haven. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detox are limited to 7 days.
