Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities - New London, CT.
Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require substance abuse treatment in New London, this program can pay for certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs associated with outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want additional coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
