The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
