The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted individuals.
