The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug prescribed are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients.
