The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
