Regular outpatient rehabilitation is mostly a less costly alternative to more comprehensive outpatient centers or inpatient rehab, and is the least intense of formal alcohol or drug rehab around in Mid Florida. Some individuals are in rehab for the first time and have chosen regular outpatient because that is all they can afford and time commitment and logistically because of school, work or other obligations. For some, regular outpatient is a step down from treatment in a more intense outpatient center like a partial hospitalization or in-patient center.
Regular outpatient rehabilitation services offer group and individual counseling services delivered once maybe twice per week. Programs that include a more diverse spectrum of services may include psychotherapies (behavioral therapy) to assist with relapse prevention and dual diagnosis services to help address co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. The length of time an individual stays involved in recovery can change from client to client, and a person's progress can be evaluated every now and then and an extension of treatment can be recommended contingent upon these conclusions.
In many situations, a regular outpatient recovery facility may be insufficient in intensity for a person who is dealing with a chronic drug and alcohol problem and has not experienced treatment before or has fallen off the wagon after previous outpatient rehabilitation.
