The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
