Naltrexone is an additional drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opiate. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents an individual from experience being high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
