A Halfway House, also called a Sober Living Facility, is an environment where people in recovery can go where they can live in a drug and alcohol free and supportive setting until they are able to live stably on their own. Living in a Halfway House may be a condition of a person's parole for example, or the person could decide to live in a Halfway House of their own accord following drug or alcohol treatment. This could mean, for example, finishing school, getting employment, etc.
