Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation program which is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who need intense treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need twenty-four hour supervision and treatment. When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment facility, they typically take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week.
