Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Boston, MA.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need addiction recovery services in Boston, this program may pay for certain recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want additional coverage apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
