The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
