Euphoria is possible at a high dosage, more significantly with methadone than buprenorphine. At clinics that treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, treatment therapies are limited beyond this and the primary treatment goal is to treat the physical symptoms of their dependence. Some centers do offer a limited amount of counseling and therapy as supplementary treatment, and this is encouraged.
