There are addiction programs offered in or near Garden which service both methadone and buprenorphine clients only, controlled medications that are administered in what is known as opioid maintenance therapy. At centers which treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, actual rehabilitation activities and therapies are generally limited beyond managing the medication and the main treatment goal is to treat the physical symptoms of their dependence. Some programs do offer a limited amount of counseling and group therapy as supplementary services, and this is recommended and encouraged.
