The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
