The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Medicine administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
