The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
