The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
