Regular out-patient rehabilitation is mostly a less expensive alternative to more intensive outpatient centers or inpatient recovery, and is the lowest intensity of formal substance abuse rehabilitation available in Three Forks. Some individuals are in rehab for the first time and have picked regular outpatient because of the cost and commitment to time wise and logistically because of school, work or other obligations. In some cases, regular outpatient is a "step-down" from rehab in a more intense outpatient program such as a partial hospitalization or in-patient program.
Regular out-patient rehabilitation services usually have group and individual counseling services delivered once maybe twice per week. Centers which include a more diverse spectrum of services may include counseling (CBT) to assist with relapse prevention and dual diagnosis services to help address co-occurring addiction and mental health issues. The length of time a client stays involved in treatment can change from client to client, and a client's progress can be assessed from time to time and an extension of rehab can be recommended based on these findings.
In many situations, a regular outpatient recovery facility is going to be lacking in intensity for an individual who is addressing a chronic drug and alcohol problem and has not gone to rehab before or has fallen off the wagon following prior outpatient rehab.
