The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
