A requirement that MAT clients must also get ancillary benefits aside from medicine such as counseling or behavioral therapy.

An opioid rehabilitation center can receive initial approval documentation while working towards becoming fully accredited, but must become fully accredited within a year. Likewise, they need to list themselves with the Drug Enforcement Administration through a local DEA office. Once an opioid rehab center is certified, they need to get re-certified each year or every 3 years contingent upon the type of certification that was granted.
