The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
