Opioid treatment facilities authorized by SAMSHA need to get licensed also by their own state. Likewise, they need to list themselves with the Drug Enforcement Administration via a local DEA branch. Once an opioid rehabilitation facility is certified, they need to get re-certified each year or every 3 years depending on the type of certification it has been granted.
