Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a kind of out-patient substance abuse rehabilitation program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who may need intensive rehab for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but don't require 24 hour supervision and care. For a client who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Hope could help them transition more easily into a sober way of life as a "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then phase into regular outpatient treatment.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they commonly participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is like an inpatient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get individual addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health problems that trigger their drug and alcohol addiction.
