There are substance abuse programs available in or near Springwater that cater to both methadone and buprenorphine clients only, medications which are used in what is called opioid maintenance therapy. At programs that treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, actual rehabilitation activities and therapies are limited beyond this and the primary treatment goal is to manage the withdrawal symptoms and put an end to the illicit drug use.
