Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Cleveland, OH.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary care physician and get referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.

Through TRICARE, military members can acquire substance abuse treatment services in Cleveland. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various treatment services. They will need pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but stays for detox are restricted to no more than 7 days. Partial hospitalization or impatient treatment following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved facility, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be permitted to remain in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically allowed. Additionally, there are 60 group therapy sessions and 15 family therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which take place on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other treatment services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
