The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
