Drug and alcohol abuse programs for Military Veterans are crucial for the mental well-being and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the armed forces. Because alcohol and drug abuse and other mental health disorders are found at higher than average rates among Vets, it is crucial that Veterans get the essential assistance they need due to such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders with our Vets.
Alcohol and drug abuse facilities for Veterans in Ada are available from the VA, with included services such as efforts to address associated disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, disturbed sleep, irritability, and/or relationship problems which most commonly trigger substance abuse disorders among Vets. Rehab for addiction and associated problems among Military Vets includes individual and group therapy and psychotherapies which can increase a person's motivation to change. Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications are also available in some instances to help Military Vets decrease their drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
