DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Washington, OK.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to fulfill the terms of their court sentencing. Treatment facilities which help fulfill these requirements and conditions, which are typically much more lenient than normal sentencing such as large fines and jail time, are available in Washington to deliver alcohol education, therapy, and further assessment for individuals with heavy alcohol or drug issues.

Education is a primary treatment tool used at rehabs catering to DWI offenders. There are a few different levels of alcohol education classes which can vary by state. Level I education classes usually consist of 12 hours of group education about the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single offense or someone under 21 will usually be required to complete. Level II classes would consist of both substance abuse education and therapy at a court approved program. The duration the individual will have to be in therapy depends on various factors, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the offender has had, and the severity of the offense. Most often clients will be sentenced to the Level II classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol level was extremely low when they were stopped and there were no other serious infractions when the offender was arrested.
