DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centers - Yale, OK.

DWI clients in rehab need to complete specific requirements to fulfill the terms of their sentencing. Treatment programs that help satisfy these requirements and terms, which are typically far more lenient than normal sentencing which would include heavy fines and jail time, are offered in Yale to deliver alcohol education, counseling, and further assessment for serious substance abuse problems.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehab programs catering to DWI clients. There are different levels of alcohol education which can vary by state. Level I education generally consist of 12 hours of group education about the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first conviction or someone under 21 will ordinarily be required to do. Level II courses would consist of both education and group therapy at a program which is approved by the courts. The duration the client will be required to participate in therapy depends on various factors, which can be, for example, the number of DWI's the offender has had, and the seriousness of the offense. Ordinarily, clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was very low when they were stopped and there were no other serious charges when the person was arrested.
