DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Glide, OR.

DWI clients in treatment need specific requirements met to fulfill the terms of their sentencing. Rehab facilities that help satisfy these requirements and terms, which are typically much more lenient than traditional sentencing such as steep fines and incarceration, are offered in Glide to provide educational services, group counseling, and additional assessment for clients with serious alcohol or drug issues.

Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are various levels of alcohol education classes and this can differ by state. Level I education typically consist of 12 hours of group education related to the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first conviction or someone under 21 will usually be required to complete. Level II courses would include both education and therapy at a program which is approved by the courts. How long a client will need to participate in therapy depends on various considerations, which can be, for example, the number of DWI's the person has had, and the seriousness of the violation. In most cases, clients will be required to take the Level II classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was very low when they were arrested and there weren't any other significant charges when the individual was arrested.
